Does anyone know how well Dual 9800GT SLI will perform?

I just purchased my second XFX 9800GT 600mhz card with SLI, and I wanted to know if anyone else has the same setup and how it performs in such games like Battlefield Bad Company 2, Modern Warfare 2.

I cant remember how well SLI scaling works in MW2, although it's an older engine--so a single 9800GT should be more than sufficient as-is. You may not notice a huge increase in performance unless playing on extremely high resolutions..

How does SLI perform vs single card? Is it double the performance because I now have twice the amount of core clock and gpu?

No, adding a second GPU does not automatically double performance. This is why it has been looked at with skepticism by many users. The increase in performance you gain will be different for each game/application you intend to use -- this is referred to as "scaling". An SLI setup may or may not "scale" well in one game, but scale well in another. Game engines, graphics drivers, and GPU's will all work differently. This is why the cost/performance ratio in an SLI or CrossfireX setup is not also in favor of the average user (more tailored to an overclocker/enthusiast).
Hope this helps some :)
